Hello
I am Felicia, a certified English teacher, Business English Coach and IELTS and TOEFL preparation tutor.
I was born in Italy but grew up in an English-speaking environment and spent most of my youth between Italy and the United States (where I also worked as a researcher in a prestigious university), which allowed me to become bilingual from a very early age.
Before becoming a full-time English teacher I spent 25 years in the corporate world, in several well-known international companies. At the end of 2021 I left the corporate world as I needed a change in my life and my career and decided to go back to my very first passion: teaching English.
My corporate experience
During my corporate years I developed very effective communication and presentation skills, as well as strong proofreading abilities, as my job required communicating in English on a daily basis with colleagues, suppliers and customers, as well as proofreading different kinds of documents (like emails, presentations, brochures, website and advertising texts, Requests for Quotations, etc.) for me and other departments in the company and giving presentations to different stakeholders, including the CEO and the upper management.

Certifications
I have always had a strong passion for foreign languages and for teaching, which led me to start tutoring students in English from a very young age and eventually get several certifications for teaching English as a Foreign language - including a specialized certificate to teach Business English, two certifications to teach preparation for the TOEFL and IELTS tests and a specific certification to teach English pronunciation - and gain additional teaching experience in some well-known English academies.

My teaching approach
Each student is different, that’s why my teaching style is flexible and needs-oriented.
My custom-made approach starts with an assessment of the student’s English language level and specific needs in order to build lessons that are truly customized based on these needs and set up realistic learning objectives.
These objectives are always discussed and agreed upon with my students in order to work together to reach them.
In each lesson I include engaging and fun activities and guide my students to acquire an effective methodology for language learning which will help them be more and more confident and independent.
